Concourse B Food Court Renovation, at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport(HJAIA)
This commercial renovation project powered by Sovereign Construction Management was layered with complex schedule coordination and detailed work flow sequencing. The Project team prioritized passenger safety and on-going business continuity for the shops and restaurants within the food court as a key metric for overall project success. The scope of work for the renovation encompassed the demolition of the existing food court seating area, partition walls, flooring, and light fixtures. Installation of new floor and wall tile, a fresh coat of paint, reconfigured electrical outlets for greater functionality, LED light fixtures, modern mill-work, new community eating areas, and new tables and chairs throughout the space were all components of the revitalized Concourse B Food Court. The 7,648 square foot project was completed on-time, within the clients budget, and with the Sovereign Standard of Quality Construction. The Hatfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the busiest airport in the world and the renovation was successfully completed without any interruption to business activities for the shops and restaurants located in the food court, and most importantly without any safety related incidents involving passengers or employees working within or passing through Concourse B. Next time you happen to be at Hartsfield Jackson Airport and on Concourse B enjoy some delightful southern cuisine or a cool beverage in one of Atlanta’s most unique and bustling eating environments. Take a seat, have a treat, and prepare for departure en-route to your next destination
